January 21, 2025 – IG Securities, the Japanese affiliate of the worldwide electronic trading behemoth IG Group, has announced the expansion of trading hours for 30 US stock CFDs. Effective January 20, 2025, these instruments can now be traded from 6:00 PM Japan time to 10:00 AM the next day, with Friday trading finishing at 7:00 AM. This extension provides more flexibility and accessibility for traders looking for possibilities outside regular market hours.
The 30 US stock CFDs that profit from longer trading hours include a mix of high-profile corporations and sector leaders:
Stop-limit and limit orders made prior to extended trading hours will be filled if the stated price is met within the expanded trading window. To avoid position liquidation, traders must ensure that their accounts maintain an effective margin balance of at least 75% of the needed maintenance margin. IG Securities encourages traders to be aware of trading hours and to plan their tactics ahead of time.
