Reason for this visit
After joining the European Union in May 2004 and starting to use the euro on January 1, 2008, Malta's economy has gradually integrated with the euro area economy, eliminating exchange rate risks, reducing transaction costs, and creating a favorable environment for foreign investors. Malta is one of the EU countries least affected by the financial crisis due to its stricter financial regulation, fewer liquidity problems in its financial system, diversified investment tendencies, and its financial institutions’ investment in blue-chip stocks or bonds. Malta implements the free flow of foreign exchange. Foreign exchange can be bought and sold freely, and foreign capital can freely enter and leave Malta. Foreign-funded enterprises can freely open foreign currency accounts in banks and store foreign currency, and can also freely remit profits made in Malta without paying special taxes. In order to help investors have a more comprehensive understanding of foreign exchange dealers in Malta, the field survey team is going to the country for on-site visits.
On-site visit
This time the survey team went to Malta to visit the foreign exchange dealer G&S Global as planned, and the survey address was Portomaso Tower Annex Level 7 VJAL Portomaso St. Julian’s Malta.
The survey personnel came to the destination of the current survey according to the above address. The building is located in the urban area of Malta, and there are many hotels (such as Hilton) and restaurants nearby, with a quiet and beautiful environment. The building property is quite professional, with access control, front desk, security, and multiple elevators. The investigators asked the front desk employee if the dealer existed here. He said that there was no G&S GLOBAL company in the building.
The investigators also checked the water sign in the hall, but neither the 7th floor of the address provided by the dealer nor other floors showed the dealer's name. The investigators confirmed that the dealer does not have an office here.
Conclusion
The investigators went to Malta to visit the foreign exchange dealer G&S Global as planned, but did not find the dealer's office at its publicly displayed business address. The dealer may have just registered a company at this address without a real business venue. Please choose this dealer carefully.
