In a Thursday tweet, President Donald Trump announced that “after almost 3 years in my Administration, Jason Greenblatt will be leaving to pursue work in the private sector.”
Greenblatt, who previously worked as an attorney and executive at the Trump organization, was named Special Representative for International Negotiations specifically to work on the Trump administration's policy surrounding the Israel-Palestine conflict.
The Trump administration has been rocked by high-profile departures — including James Mattis as defense secretary and John Kelly as chief of staff — since Trump took office in January 2017.
