Pay $600 before Earning $1,200? LimpidOptions' money game

In February 2020, an investor was attracted by the LimpidOptions advertisement at Instagram. An agent from LimpidOptions, named tonia, introduced that if the investor invested 100 USD worth of BTC, he can withdraw 1,200 USD within 7 days.

The investor registered an account by a link, then he got a bitcoin wallet address and deposited 100 USD worth of BTC in his account. Also, the investor agreed that the agent charged 10 % commission of withdrawal as a return. When the money in his account reached 1,850 USD including his 100 USD principal, the investor decided to withdraw 1,750USD. But he was asked to provide his bank account details according to an email from LimpidOptions. At the meanwhile, he also got another email that he needed to pay a tax of 250 USD as well as a brokerage fee of 250 USD, totaling 500 USD before he could withdraw his 1,750 USD. And he never knew all of these payment policy before he did withdraw money at the platform.

It is worth noting that many illegal brokers use an elegant female avatar to chat with investor. According to data, in Nigeria's forex market, the proportion of men in forex trading is higher than that of women. Using an elegant female avatar will capture more males attention to make the deal. He submitted a withdrawal request of 1,750 USD, but needed to pay 500 USD tax and brokerage fees.

He made a withdrawal request of 300 USD, then never got any reply from LimpidOptions.
