Using MetaTrader 4 is based on the following 4 steps:

1. Download MetaTrader 4,

2. Install MetaTrader 4,

3. Open a trading account with a broker,

4. Log into MetaTrader 4 with your account information.

To download MetaTrader 4, nothing could be simpler, just click on the download link present for example on the site of your broker. (You can also download it on WikiFX.)

Then, to install MetaTrader 4, simply run the previously downloaded file and follow the instructions of the installation wizard. A shortcut will automatically be created on your desktop. To open MetaTrader 4, you just need to double-click on this shortcut.

Once your platform is installed, in order to use MetaTrader, you must open an account with a broker, making sure to choose a broker regulated by the ASIC (Australian regulator), the FCA (British regulator) or etc.

Then, your broker provides you with various elements that you will use to connect:

- Your account identification number,

- Your password,

- Your investor's password,

- The servers name .

Then, to connect to MetaTrader 4, you must enter your account number and password, making sure to select the correct server.

To log out of MetaTrader, there is no particular operation to perform; you are automatically logged out when you close MT4.
