Abstract:The broker has become a Premium Partner of the football club.
eToro, which offers retail trading services, has inked yet another sports sponsorship deal with the Polish football club, Lechia Gdansk. It is one of the many sports deals the broker has inked to promote its brand.
Announced on Friday, the two parties did not disclose the tenure of the new deal, but said it was for the ‘long-term’. Neither of the involved financials has been revealed.
Based in the city of Gdańsk, Lechia Gdansk was founded in 1945 and is one of the top football clubs in the country. It competes in both domestic and European leagues that will help to strengthen the branding of the broker.
“Poland is an important market for eToro and through this partnership, we hope to raise awareness to more people of the potential to grow their wealth through investing,” said Nir Smulewicz, Vice President of Marketing at eToro.
“We will be working with the club to make the financial markets more accessible, to help bring fans closer to the action and educate them on investing.”
With the partnership, eToro is planning to directly tap the fanbase of the Polish football club by offering free investment educational content. It might have received other marketing opportunities but did not detail any of it in the official press release.
“Im really glad to be working with a new international sponsor of such prominence,” Paweł Żelem, President of Lechia Gdańsk, said. “The eToro brand is recognized globally and is an experienced football partner at the highest European level.”
eToro has already entered into an agreement with an American blank-check company for listing itself publicly in the United States. Meanwhile, the broker is running aggressive marketing campaigns to strengthen its brand value.
By the end of September, the broker inked sponsorship deals with eight Italian football clubs. Furthermore, it is sponsoring several other European football clubs, while backing giants like Arsenal.
