Introduction

In the retail foreign exchange market, there is a very large number of FX brokers in Cyprus. In order to help investors know more about the regulated FX brokers in this country, this time the inspection team went to Limassol, Cyprus to visit the broker Marketbrokers as planned.

Regulatory Information

Marketbrokers is MM licensed by CySEC, with registered address at: Omonoias, 141, The Maritime Centre, Block B, 1st floor, 3045, Limassol, Cyprus.

Inspection Process

The inspection team arrived at the building located at 141 Omonoias Street. The building, named The Maritime Centre, is adjacent to the new wharf in Limassol and the surrounding environment is nice. It seems that the building is quite grand and has a long history. On the signboard outside the building, there was no logo of Marketbrokers, but the logo of IC Markets was visible.

Also, there was no logo of Marketbrokers on the advertising boards placed on the exterior wall of the building. Instead, the logo of IC Markets was seen.

Conclusion

The inspection team’s site visit confirmed that at the address mentioned in the regulatory information there was no office of Marketbrokers, which means the regulatory information is not true. This session of Field Survey is presented as above.
