Reason for this visit

To help investors have good knowledge of regulated brokers in Cyprus, the survey team this time visited easyMarkets, a broker based in Limassol, Cyprus. 

Regulatory Information

According to the regulatory information, the broker easyMarkets has the MM license issued by CySEC and located at Griva DiGeni 1 Ave, Kriel CourT, OFFice 303, CY-3035 LiMassol / P.O. Box 53742,CY-3317 LiMassol. The survey team thus decided to have an on-site visit to this regulatory address for confirmation.

In addition, easyMarkets has one other MM license issued by ASIC and located at EASY FOREX PTY LTD, SuiTe 703, 65 York STreeT SYDNEY NSW 2000.  

On-site visit

The survey team followed the address from the regulatory information and arrived at an office building at Griva DiGeni 1 Ave, Limassol, Cyprus. As an aside, the building is quite conveniently located, which is near the Limassol Court, 100 meters away from Limassol Esplanade.   

Entering the office building, the team found the lobby was decorated with a sense of art. Move to the directory, the logo of easyMarkets could be clearly seen.   

Subsequently, the team was going to take an elevator to the 3rd floor, at where they also caught the sight of easyMarkets’s logo. However, they finally failed to go upstairs because it was needed to have an access card to take the lift.  

Conclusion

Based on the result of this spot survey, the surveyors confirmed that easyMarkets’s office did exist and consistent with the regulatory information. Unfortunately, the survey team were not able to get inside the office, the scale of which was unknown. Please be prudent when trading with this broker.
