Inspection Reason

Recently the inspection team received investors’ complaints that the official website of Velocity, an Australia-based broker, could not be accessed. To find out what the problem is,An inspection team was sent to Australia for a field survey. 

Office

According to the address shown in its regulation details, Velocity’s office is at Level 9, 50 Pitt Street, Sydney. The survey staff went there for a field investigation. 

According to the address, the survey staff found this well decorated office building with a 3-D house number.

After the surveyors entered the building, they did not found any information about Velocity on a floor directory sign in the lobby. However, since this does not necessarily mean that the firm does not have an office here, the surveyors still took an elevator to Level 9 as was indicated by the address. As soon as they got out of the elevator, they saw the broker’s office immediately in front of them.

Conclusion

A field survey confirmed that the actual address of Velocity was consistent with where the company claims to be located. The broker claims to hold a financial service license from the New Zealand FSPR (20003), an investment advisory license from the Australian ASIC (329813) and an investment advisory license from the UK FCA (497263).
