Reason for this visit

In view of Cambodia's economic structure that is highly dependent on foreign exchange reserves, it is bound to be highly open to investment, and there is almost zero threshold for foreign capital to enter Cambodia. Cambodia also relies on open policies, sustained economic growth, rapid expansion of domestic production capacity, and continuous improvement of national infrastructure and financial investment regulations, all of which are conducive to its growth as the next "financial center." Recently, investors have called to ask for more exposure of Cambodian licensees whose actual addresses are inconsistent with the regulatory addresses. Based on the feedback from investors and the work plan of the survey team, the survey staff are going to visit ASKAP, a licensed dealer in Cambodia, to learn more about the actual situation.

On-site visit

Regulatory information shows that the address of ASKAP Cambodian licensed company is 20, 8th Floor, Street 217, Phum 7, Sangkat Veal Vong, Khan 7 Makara, Phnom Penh, Cambodia, and the investigators conducted a field visit to this location.

The building where the dealer’s office is located can be found in the Cambodian capital of Phnom Penh. The place is relatively remote. There is a garden with Southeast Asian characteristics at the entrance of the building. Due to the epidemic, the investigators were not allowed to enter the office area of the building, nor could they find the dealer’s logo or other information in the lobby. 

Conclusion

The investigators went to Cambodia to visit the dealer ASKAP as planned. The dealer’s logo was not found on its publicly displayed business address. The dealer might not have an office operating normally at the business address. Investors are asked to make a sensible choice after careful consideration.
