Quite a few investors called and hoped for more disclosure of HK licensed brokers whose real address were not the same with its licensed address. In response to investors’ strong appeal, the surveyors were about to visit Huatai Futures.

According to the regulatory information, the HK licensed broker Huatai Futiresl was located at Room 9, 9F, China Merchants Tower, 168-200 Connaught Road, Sheung Wan, HK. The surveyors visited the broker.

The surveyors made much effort to find China Merchants Tower at Connaught Road, Sheung Wan. The ancient building is the surveyors’ destination.

The surveyors entered the building and were informed after inquiring the receptionist downstairs that the broker’s office was at the 10th and 11th floor. The surveyors browsed over the floor directory downstairs and were informed the broker’s restaurant was located at the 10th and 11th floor was not the same with its licensed address. The broker had a futures trade license issued by SFC but its suspicion of operating in violation of legislation couldn’t be ruled out. Please pay attention to the changes of the broker’s regulatory address and beware of money loss in case of its escape with investors’ payments.

The surveyors took the elevator to the 10th floor and saw the broker’s employees wearing employee badges were having lunch. They interacted with each other by different dialects used in Mainland, China while having their lunch. The surveyors looked around the 10th and 11th floor several times but didn’t find the broker’s office. The surveyors were informed after inquiring the safe guard downstairs that the broker’s office has moved.

Conclusion

The visit by surveyors confirmed that the real address of the HK licensed broker Huatai Futures. was not the same with its licensed address. The broker had a futures trade license issued by SFC. Please pay attention to the changes of the broker’s regulatory address and beware of money loss. In order to provide more useful information to investors, the surveyor will go to the broker’s new office in HK in the future.
