Inspection Reason

Recently, investors expressed their hopes for more exposure of Australian brokers, whose real addresses are inconsistent with the ones in their regulatory information. Given that, the investigators went to Australia for a direct look at TBC.

Company Building

TBC’s office address in the regulatory information is 13 Hickson Road, Sdyney NSW 2000. The investigators carried out a field survey to this licensed broker.

The survey staff found the company building adjacent to Dawes Point Pier based on regulatory information. Due to the refurbishment of this age-old building, the staff could only enter it through the temporary entrance.

They saw a simple floor guide next to the elevator, yet found nothing about TBC. In order to obtain accurate survey results, the survey personnel asked the security guard if TBC was in here, but was told a negative answer. 

Inspection Conclusion

The investigators, based on the result of this field survey, confirmed that TBC’s real address failed to match with the one in its regulatory information. Besides, the broker has run businesses beyond the business scopes stated in its Australian Financial Services Representative license (license number: 434616) issued by Australia Securities & Investment Commission. And the license has been revoked now.Please be wary of the broker.
