Abstract:Do you notice how Waves 1, 3, and 5 are make up of smaller 5-wave impulse patterns, but Waves 2 and 4 are make up of smaller 3-wave corrective patterns?
Elliott waves are fractals, like we explained earlier.
Sub-waves make up each wave.
Let me show you another image. Aren't photographs wonderful?
Do you notice how Waves 1, 3, and 5 are make up of smaller 5-wave impulse patterns, but Waves 2 and 4 are make up of smaller 3-wave corrective patterns?
Fractals are what you're seeing!
Keep in mind that each wave is made up of smaller wave patterns.
This pattern keeps repeating itself indefinitely!
The Elliott Wave Theory has allocated a set of categories to the waves in order of the largest to the smallest to make it easier to classify them. They are as follows:
The Great Supercycle (multi-century)
Minute (days
Minuette (hours)
Sub-Minuette (minutes)
A Grand Supercycle is make up of Supercycle waves, which are make up of Cycle waves, which are make up of Primary waves, and Intermediate waves, which are make up of Minor waves, which are make up of Minute waves, which are make up of Minuette waves, which are make up of Sub-Minuette waves. Are you sure you understood everything?
To make things clearer, let's have a look at how an Elliott Wave appears in real life.
In actual life, waves aren't precisely formed, as you can see.
You'll also discover that labeling waves might be tricky at times.
However, the more you study charts, the better you will get.
After all, we're not going to leave you to your own devices!
In the parts that follow, we'll show you how to detect waves correctly and quickly, as well as how to trade using Elliott Waves. Let's go surfing!
