India's Daily New Covid Cases and Deaths Continue to Decline

India's daily new Covid cases and deaths continue to decline. On Tuesday, the country reported the lowest daily rise in Covid deaths in last three months. In the past 24 hours, the country reported 553 fresh fatalities, taking the total death toll due to Covid in the country to 4,03,281.

The country reported 34,703 daily new cases in the last 24 hours, which is lowest in 111 days. With this, the country's total tally has gone up to 30,619,932. This is the third time in last 8 days that the country has reported less than 40,000 new Covid cases.

At 4,64,357, active caseload is lowest in 101 days. It constitutes 1.52% of total cases.

Meanwhile, recovery rate has risen to 97.17%. With 51,864 patients recovered in last 24 hours, the daily recoveries continue to outnumber the daily cases for the 54th consecutive day.

A total of 16,47,424 samples were tested yesterday to detect Covid-19 cases. So far, there have been 42,14,24,881 tests done, says ICMR.

India is ramping up its fight against Covid. In last 24 hours, India has administered 45,82,246 vaccine doses against Covid. The total number of vaccinations in the country stands at 35,75,53,612.
