Abstract:eToro partners with Spanish basketball powerhouse Baskonia, expanding its sports sponsorships. The groundbreaking deal extends eToro's reach beyond football, emphasizing their commitment to wealth creation and knowledge enhancement. The partnership offers international growth opportunities for Baskonia while connecting eToro with basketball fans globally.
eToro, a leading Retail FX and CFDs broker, has recently stepped into the basketball arena by announcing a partnership with the Spanish basketball powerhouse, Club Deportivo Saski-Baskonia. This pioneering sponsorship deal, the first of its kind for eToro in the basketball sphere, is set to last until the culmination of the 2024-2025 season and will provide substantial backing to the team, popularly known for its dynamic blue and red jersey.
This novel collaboration with Baskonia signals yet another milestone in eToro's impressive array of sports sponsorships. The company has already associated itself with a commendable total of 17 teams spread across top-tier football leagues such as the English Premier League, German Bundesliga, and Italian Serie A. Besides football, eToro's sponsorship portfolio extends to other sports as well, notably Rugby Australia. The announcement of this partnership comes on the heels of eToro's recent sponsorship agreement with UK Premiership Rugby, further underscoring their commitment to the world of sports.
eToro, as one of the frontrunners in sports sponsorships in Europe, aims to leverage these strategic alliances to enhance the visibility of its platform and to underline the opportunities it offers for wealth creation and knowledge enhancement via investing.
Haritz Kerejeta, the CEO of the Baskonia-Alavés Group, expressed his positive sentiments on the partnership, highlighting the international growth opportunities it presents for the club. He expressed his pride in the fact that a global company with significant sports partnerships like eToro chose Baskonia as their maiden association in the basketball sector.
Echoing a similar sentiment, Tali Salomon, the Regional Manager of Iberia and LatAm at eToro, pointed out the parallel between the strong sense of community among sports fans and eToro's community-driven features. Salomon emphasized that eToro, a platform fueled by community participation and shared knowledge, is eager to sponsor such a well-regarded team, aiming to connect with basketball aficionados both domestically and internationally.
With this sponsorship agreement, eToro's branding will gain substantial visibility. Their logo will feature prominently on Baskonia's player uniforms, LED boards at the venue, and side court banners. Moreover, their brand will have a robust presence on social media platforms, fan forums, and other digital spaces, enabling them to connect more effectively with the vast Baskonia fan base.
