Founded by three senior financial experts in 1988, South China Financial Holdings Limited (SCFH) was listed on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong in July 1993. SCFH provides a full range of financial services, including brokerage and trading of stocks, foreign exchange, gold and silver, financial futures and global futures contracts, mainly through traditional and online trading platforms. In addition, the company also provides corporate financing, asset management, corporate financial advisory and securities underwriting. SCFH has expanded its business scope to China (mainland), Taiwan, southeast Asia and the UK.

According to regulatory information, SCFH’s office in Hong Kong is at 28/F, Bank of China Tower, 1 Garden Road, Central, Hong Kong.The inspection team paid a field visit to this site. 

According to the address, the surveyors came to Garden Road and easily found the logo of Bank of China Tower. Close to the Central metro station, Bank of China Tower is located in a busy commercial district surrounded by skyscrapers.

The surveyors came to the main entrance of the building, where many Chinese national flags and Hong Kong flags were flying, looking very grand.

After entering the building, the surveyors checked the directory sign on the ground floor and learned that SCFH was on Level 28. The surveyors noticed that two security guards were carefully checking visitors’ identities and that the building’s strict security system was evident in the sophisticated access control system at the entrances to the elevators. The surveyors also noted that the only way to get to the 20-30 floors is to take the No.3 elevator, which may be the result of a diversion system in response to the dense traffic during rush hours. Regrettably, the survey staff did not get permission to go upstairs for a more detailed survey. 

Conclusion

A field survey confirmed that the actual address of SCFH was consistent with its regulatory address.Investors are advised to resort to their good judgement after consulting the said above.
