Abstract:On the Dubai Financial Market (DFM), which is the stock exchange for the United Arab Emirates, you can now use the Swissquote online trading service.
The DMA Route of GTNME and BHM Capital enabled the access.
Swissquote launched SQX, a cryptocurrency exchange, at the beginning of the month.
The Swissquote online trading service can now trade on the Dubai Financial Market (DFM), which is the stock exchange for the United Arab Emirates.
Swissquote clients will be able to buy and sell securities on DFM's market beginning today, October 25, according to DFM.
The Swiss company was given access through the Direct Market Access (DMA) Route by GTN Middle East Financial Services (GTNME), which offers regional and international institutional brokerage services in the Middle East.
Swissquote was also able to connect to the DFM through BHM Capital Financial Services' DMA Route, which is also a DFM-listed provider of institutional brokerage services.
Hamed Ali, the CEO of DFM and Nasdaq Dubai, said that connecting Swissquote to the market is part of their plan to make the exchange more accessible to a wider range of investors.
“We are delighted to have Swissquote Bank join DFM's ecosystem as part of our efforts to strengthen our leadership in the digital transformation of capital markets,” Ali said.
Giving our local and international clients direct access to the growing investment opportunities that the Dubai Financial Market offers is strategic for our group and demonstrates our desire to grow our presence in the UAE, said Jacques Barakat, CEO of Swissquote Middle East.
Swissquote's Significant Developments
The connection of Swissquote to the DFM is just one of many significant events that have occurred since the beginning of the year.
At the beginning of the month, SQX, a new cryptocurrency exchange, joined competitors like Dukascopy in offering a wide range of cryptocurrency services.
The company says that the centralized cryptocurrency trading platform was made to help its customers with “trading, execution, and liquidity.”
Swissquote also launched the TWINT app in August, a payment solution designed to make mobile payments simple for the firm's clients.
The app will be free for customers who have an eTrading account, according to the company.
Swissquote worked with Leonteq, a Swiss fintech company, to launch its first structured product on the SIX Swiss Exchange in January. This is Switzerland's largest stock exchange.
A WikiFX source says that the first structured product the company will sell will be a Callable Multi Barrier Reverse Convertible on Logitech and Temenos Group with an annual interest rate of 13%.
Temenos Group makes business software for banks and other financial services. Logitech, on the other hand, is a Swiss-American company that makes computer software and accessories.
