Abstract:Plus500 is a CFD broker based in London and Tel Aviv. It intends to establish +Insights, its own kind of social trading centered on data. The +Insights platform was established by the broker. It has teams of software developers in both Israel and Bulgaria. Plus500 will formally debut +Insights in early November.
Plus500 is a CFD broker with offices in London and Israel. It plans to launch +Insights, which will be its own version of social trading that will focus on data.
The broker created the +Insights platform. It maintains software development teams in both Israel and Bulgaria. +Insights will be officially launched by Plus500 in early November.
There is no “conventional” copy trading or social trading on Plus500 Insights. Instead, it would employ community data to provide customers with real-time access to the activities of millions of Plus500 traders. Users may use +Insights' unique and creative capabilities to learn about the most popular instruments on the platform (e.g., most traded, most seen, most purchased, most sold, most profit-making, most loss-making...) and stay up to date. Plus500 traders will get unique access to the +Insights platform.
The move is part of a change in Plus500's strategy over the last several months, which has typically been rather cautious in its approach. Plus500 was one of the first companies to offer crypto CFD trading to its clients. However, it has mostly targeted clients in the United Kingdom and the European Union, as well as a certain sort of “self-converting” customer.
Plus500 has recently started to take steps to diversify both geographically and in terms of its products or customers. In July, we were the only ones to report that the company had chosen Nadav Shilo, the director of its Affiliates program, to run marketing in Asia. Plus500 started a new advertising and branding campaign around the world in June. Well-known actor Kiefer Sutherland is the Brand Ambassador for this campaign.
Plus500 signed a multi-year deal with the Chicago Bulls earlier this month, adding to its list of sports sponsorships. This deal has a lot of appeal outside of Plus500's regular European customer base.
But, getting back to the problem at hand, Plus500 seems to be trying to compete more aggressively with one of its main competitors, eToro, which has long focused on social trading to grow its client base (and trading volume).
